I graduated with honors from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1985. After working in several practices and practice modes, I joined Auburn Family Optometry, Inc. in Auburn Calif. I started vision therapy there after joining OEP and COVD, and visiting several vision therapy practices. After doing vision therapy for 15+ years, I expanded and moved the practice to a vision therapy only practice named In Depth Vision Optometry. At this practice we work with all ages, helping children become successful in school, and working with TBI and Stroke patients doing vision rehabilitation. We currently do group therapy, which has been very exciting and successful. Vision therapy is my passion! Dr. Marisa Atria Kruger has been practicing behavioral optometry since her graduation from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1989. Dr. Kruger is trained and certified in Classical Homeopathy from the Colorado School of Classical Homeopathy in 2007. She graduated from Indiana University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In addition to private practice, Dr. Kruger has also been the Director of Vision Training at the Colorado Optometric Center and President of the Vision and Learning Forum. Her interest in the relationship between vision and learning has taken the form of in-school vision programs, school screenings, consulting with educators, teacher in-services and volunteer tutoring for young readers. Dr. Kruger was awarded the Colorado Optometrist of the Year in 2001. Dr. Kruger received the A.M. Skeffington Award for Excellence in Visual Therapy in 1989. Dr. Kruger has published articles on neurology and vision therapy for vision therapists, and has given many lectures for vision therapists, optometrists, parents and educators. Dr. Kruger volunteers to bring visual examinations and glasses to under-privileged communities in Kenya, Mexico and Bolivia. Vision Transformation, Inc. opened its doors in December 2005 emphasizing visual training, specialty contact lens fitting and homeopathy.

Dr. Dominick Maino is an associate optometrist at Lyons Family Eye Care and a Professor of Pediatrics/Binocular Vision at the Illinois Eye Institute/Illinois College of Optometry. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, was the founding Pediatric/Binocular Vision Resident at the Illinois College of Optometry/Illinois Eye Institute; received his MEd from the University of Illinois Chicago and Bachelor’s degree from Beloit College, Beloit, Wi. Dr. Maino is an Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics/Binocular Vision at the Centro Boston de Optometria in Madrid Spain, and the Director of the Developmental Disabilities IEI Service at Neumann Family Services. He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and holds membership in the American & Illinois Optometric Associations, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, and the Artists of Casa Italia. He is a founding member of the Pediatric Cerebral Visual Impairment Society. Dr. Maino has served as the editor for 2 professional journals, authored approximately 200 books, chapters, and articles.
